It does not say anywhere on the pistols what generation they are. It does not say on the box either. To find out what generation my Glocks were I had to send a email to Glock with the serial numbers to find out. According to Sadowski's book the first G23s would have had an ND prefix. That would pre-date a 3 letter prefix by probably 2-3 years. If you e-mail Glock the serial number they will tell you what they have in their database on it - specifically the import date.I think OP is indicating by all the serial numbers matching, the slide is a G19 slide, then the receiver would have to be a different serial number if it was originally a G17 cut down to accept a G19 slide. All evidence suggests this (photo) is a legit gen 1 Glock 19.I am unaware of any Glocks with duplicate serial numbers, even in different models.
